What a Difference a Year Makes--- My Weight Loss changes with Beachbody Programs
Ahhhhh Cafe Americano...... Thank you to the HUBBY... So in light of my shirt feeling like a dress yesterday I decided to look back at the last year and see if I really made that many changes... sometimes as you're working hard each day through life's up and downs you can forget what you accomplish in the day to day.... The Compound Effect over time.
I still get tears in my eyes.... Still am SO thankful for the amazing results you get when you don't leave anything out!
Yes we need to eat healthy, yes we need to exercise.... but how many of us know that already? I'm guessing everyone... IT'S DOING IT that is the REAL LIFE STRUGGLE!
SO THIS is the MAGIC... This is where it's at...... This is what makes a difference... Someone to encourage you.... Accountability with others.... Posting each day what my day was like good or bad in a private group, sharing the struggles and joys. Advice when needed... Education and fun for Delicious easy food to eat, and workouts done in less than 30 minutes a day that are MORE effective than the hours I've spent at the gym since 1998. Nowhere to drive, no excuses.. Just PUSHING PLAY! And on the days I don't want to? I have an ENTIRE group that does want to! I don't know HOW many times just seeing one post made me pop that DVD in before I could think twice, or say NO to the temptations of mindless eating that just makes you miserable.
I am truly thankful for not only the changes in my appearance and how I feel but my health changes as well.... and THIS is why I am so passionate about it! Because NO WHERE ELSE gets it ALL Right! I've DONE IT ALL!
Personal trainers, weight watchers, nutritionist at the Dr.... but THIS is the secret... NO MAGIC PILL...
But ME, your coach, believing in you... along with a group of people that you will MISS when you have a bad time.. and WILL come back.
I'm Thankful so much for everyone's support of my journey and my Dreams of helping others never feel small.... or alone like I felt last year, not wanting to leave my house embarrassed at how I looked and felt. This is why I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON YOU!

Never Give Up: Being a Health Coach

As the tears are falling I am trying to figure out why am so emotional.. In fact I can't stop the tears.
Maybe it's because I just completed the most amazing workout second day in a row and I'm just so thankful for this company and the friends I have made.
But in reality I know why......Why I became a coach.....when it was so hard. So hard to be transparent about struggles deep inside when you're a fighter and don't want to show failure. Why I have endured judgement and hardship...... THIS IS WHY!
So when I started this journey I told my coach ----yes the number one coach in all of Beachbody---Who I am so thankful for Melanie Mitro That I didn't care about Rank.. YEP! That's what I said!!! I don't like opportunists and if I can't do this from the heart I won't do it.
She said that's exactly how she was (which is why she appealed to me) and felt the same way. She encouraged me to do it organically... the way I wanted. Gave me the tools support and training I needed.
ALL I wanted Rank to mean is how many people I was able to help in some way. And you know what? That's EXACTLY what it means!!!!
So today flashing through my mind are the people I've grown to love who made me smile and brought so much to my life by putting their trust in me... this imperfect person.... to encourage them.
I'm thinking of a life that no longer has a cholesterol problem, and regained her energy, feels like herself again at the age of 52.
I am thinking of a beautiful mom and grandma that now is in her skinny jeans and is starting to realize that this is become a complete life change for her. Coming Naturally to her.
Thinking of one of my dearest friends who went from a size 8 to a 4 and had to sell all her clothes. She was beautiful anyway but how empowering.
thinking of another young mom and friend who now eats breakfast feels better and also looks amazing....lost some weight and regained her energy for her busy life with 4 kids.
I'm thinking of another 50 something-year-old who so far lost 20 pounds and going, and another who did as well and has completely had a life change because of it. She actually now had the blood sugar levels as if she was fasting!
I'm thinking of the lady who has been rocking her dresses on a night out with her husband and the confidence that built.
I'm thinking of a guy who has had a HUGE transformation and supported others and shared his journey... I mean HUGE!
i'm thinking of one of my best friends who just wanted to get bikini ready for a trip to the ocean and messaged me and said thanks to the 21 Day Fix her sister was taking pictures of her in a bikini, posting them and she didn't even care.
There are SO many more people I am thinking of that have blessed me this year!
SO in the end... That's the reason for my tears..... It's the people that have BLESSED MY LIFE, made SO MANY CHANGES.. by WORKING SOO SO HARD! SHARING THEIR STRUGGLES and have HONESTLY become people I need in my life! I just want to CONGRATULATE ALL OF YOU!!! You KNOW who you are!!! YOU ARE TRULY AMAZING!!!!

No Excuses--- Healthy Lifestyle=Prevent Disease
I almost didn't post this... but with a few tears I feel like i have to. It's why I have a mission... why I am crazy passionate about being a Processed Free Facilitator and a Coach.
I woke up today a mix of TOTALLY excited for INSANITY DAY and also Frustration....
Couldn't sleep for a bit thinking of someone I love with some imminent health concerns that could get better. Wanting SO much some of the stress to stop for them and also....
I WISH they would take the opportunity to try a healthy lifestyle.... or try to understand it at least. Things taste Better, you feel better and in this case you won't Die! I also wish most sick people didn't have an Accomplice... You know what I'm talking about? The mate or person in their life that not boldly but in small ways really doesn't want them to change their lifestyle and aids in the process of destruction.
Real foods.... Healthy Foods... You can make ALMOST anything amazing!
Today I am thinking about two TOTALLY different kinds of people here.....
1. The people that are scared to try Insanity Max 30 but secretly wish you Could and no it's not for everyone... but for many more than you think!
2. Are you someone who can't breathe? Feels tired? Feels like you are TOO old to change, to feel ok or have given up, think you've lived your lot--- or maybe not older but think this is how I was born and I'm stuck this way?
that is NOT true! You ABSOLUTELY can change the way you feel! No matter WHAT shape you are in and who you are... for some it's about the Small Baby Steps but TRUST ME... Baby steps start changing your cells and how you feel IMMEDIATELY!!!!
Anyone can start very small, like add fresh vegetables to two meals a day. Drinking 8 glasses of water a day. I drink 16!
**THIS IS NOT A JUDGEMENT ON ANYONE AND SOME THINGS WE CANNOT CONTROL... THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEAN, Trust me.. I've been THERE! Or somethings we can learn we can control now.. if we didn't know before!
We've all been there, It's not about being perfect... but it's just about realizing YOU HAVE SOMEONE WHO LOVES YOU THAT WANTS YOU TO LOVE YOURSELF SO YOU CAN BE HERE WITH THEM! Watching a swift decline in health of a loved one is HARD... especially when it's unfortunate circumstance. Some is stress from the outside world... but setting the stage with a healthy lifestyle Does allow you to process stress better than not. Steroids took away my ability to handle stress and it was SO destructive! If you can find a way to handle stress better, DO it!
Now If you HAVE already been working on a healthy life style but are in a rut... and scared to try something like Insanity.. or anything else. Now is the time to think--- WOW... Maybe I COULD do that? SOOO many people that started with Insanity a few years ago looked like someone that never should be trying it... but they took it Day by Day, mod by mod.. Max by Max and Pushed through! Be BOLD today! Take control of your CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!
I will NEVER forget a few years ago when I finished the Insanity Test.. and rocked it--- I literally Bawled. I didn't believe I could but was Determined!
With that I better get my butt out of the office and go workout......#youareloved #youareworthit #makeithappen #nevergiveup

Clean Eating Pancakes-Choc Chip Banana :) 21 Day Fix and Kid approved!
These are my Favorite Pancakes and my families too! You can make any version you want! We usually make Banana but today I threw in a little surprise!
Choc Chip Banana Pancakes... Yep, you got that right --- they were DEVOURED!
**Just a momma hint... they loved them with just the banana too so maybe get them used to just the fruit first so you don't have to put the choc in EVERY Time!
These babies are QUICK and DELICIOUS :)
Ingredients:
Dry:
Bob's Red Mill Pastry Flour 1 cup
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 teas baking powder (Aluminum free)
Wet Ingredients:
1 cup of organic milk or almond or coconut. I used 1/3 cup Thai lite coconut concentrate and added water to make a cup.
1/2 cup plain yogurt (I use trader joes organic greek)
1 organic egg
1 teas vanilla
Organic unrefined coconut oil to cook them in
Get out two mixing bowls.. mix dry and wet separately... then add together and stir until mixed but not overly so. Then add whatever fun you want!
My usual is two banana's cut in little pieces.. add stir
This time I did one banana and 1/4 cup sunspire choc chips! So nummy!
Blueberries would be amazing, I would use half a cup small frozen and see if that is enough.. my son won't eat blueberries so we usually have them fresh on the side when in season. We also have strawberries on the side and top with organic 100% grade B maple syrup.. SO good!
Heat up your skillet to med/med/low (do not let them get black or over burnt, that is not healthy) and melt the coconut oil. Put a half a cup scoop in the pan and watch until it bubbles, flip and cook until done and continue. I usually put a small new dab of coconut oil before each pancake.

Encouragement during the hard times......
I just want to encourage all of you out there that my have an injury, chronic illness, migraines, or anything that challenges you.
I truly understand it makes it hard to be real, be out there... Most people don't know but a few of my closer friends but this past year I have realized I have endometriosis. This is something that comes on and you never know when... for example last Thursday in the middle of the night. The pain is so great you can't sit, stand or walk... and that is even on heavy painkillers.... you honestly feel like someone is stabbing you with a knife. Continuously, without fail..... so how does this make me feel as someone who loves to workout, eat healthy and is truly enjoying helping others do the same???
Emotionally it can be hard. You feel like a bad example, worthless to your family.. and most of all you feel like you can't really talk about it because you don't want to be "that" person... no one wants to hear about it right?
Those are LIES... your VALUE is just as much. So here is the thing....whatever you may be struggling with..... there is usually a time of good... when it goes away and you feel free. In THOSE moments you can be yourself.. in THOSE moments you feel such joy to just feel pain free, normal... What I want to encourage you to do is think of your health as a wave in the ocean, much like life. With ups and downs. Yes.. you may have more to overcome then a person who needs to make a decision and do it, sometimes you're simply not capable.. and I UNDERSTAND that! However... IF you don't give up... continue the fight, to make the MOST out of each and every day. Those weeks you feel good.... THEY will bring PROGRESS, and the weeks you don't.. yes. You may stay the same, or have some set backs. But without giving up the waves of up and down will eventually find you meeting your goal. If your goal is losing weight, 5 pounds one week and staying the same the next is STILL 5 pounds!
EVERY bit of exercise you can do to the best of your ability one week benefits you. This past week I had my awful moments.. and I've had the moments where the medicine was working enough, enough to workout. It was motivating in a way because I knew if I waited too long the opportunity may not be there later.. so yes, I've done it Sat, Mon, Wed... but that is 3x more than many people do in a week!
I know it's easy to just want to feel normal, pain free and able like so many others. I sometimes feel so small because my will is there and I AM DRIVEN, I am told I am a GREAT COACH! This is hard for me to say, I don't want to sound arrogant but it's for a purpose... it's to say that these lies we believe are negative and we need to push them away and understand we have a story, a story someone needs to hear! It doesn't matter if we are not perfect, or our progress takes time. Who is inspired by perfection? Who's live is REALLY like that? What matters is you don't throw in the towel...you continue to look up, even through the struggles and do the best you can.
Don't compare....Don't feel less than and don't give in to your circumstances. Try to make the most of the moments you have that can be REALLY GOOD. Remember 80% of health is what you eat. As time passes you are STILL growing as a person and living the healthiest version of YOU!

Black Bean Brownies 21 Day Fix approved and DELICIOUS!
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans
- 1/2 cup organic maple syrup
- 1/2 cup Bobs Red Mill Pastry flour
- 1/2 cup egg whites
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa or raw cacoa
- 2 tbsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 6 tbsp mini semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly coat an 8x8 baking dish with unrefined organic coconut oil. In a food processor, mix all brownie ingredients (except chips) together. Chop on high, until smooth. Clean off sides and blend for another 20 seconds. Add the chips and stir well. Spread into the 8x8 baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean. Cool for about 1 hour at room temperature.

Stuffed Peppers
Stuffed Peppers
Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
4 peppers, I prefer red
1 bag of seeds of change quinoa and brown rice (microwave for 90 seconds, found at whole foods or costco)
14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes no salt
Tablespoon of coconut oil
1 onion diced
2 cloves garlic diced
Salt and pepper
Oregano
Basil
Cayenne pepper (optional)
Parmesan cheese - tablespoon
Preheat oven to 350
Prepare peppers by cutting tops off and clean out insides and put aside.
Brown chicken in skillet in a tablespoon of coconut oil. Once brown, drain if necessary but leave a little oil. Add diced onions and cook together until onions are soft. Add in garlic and sauté all together. Add salt and pepper and cayenne to taste. Add cooked quinoa to chicken mixture then add diced tomatoes, oregano and basil. Stir together while on heat and then add in Parmesan cheese.
Stuff peppers with mixture and put in a baking dish with a little water in bottom and cover with foil. Cook at 350 for about 45 minutes depending on how large the peppers are. Take foil off after 35 minutes to let brown a little.

Stir together while on heat and then add in Parmesan cheese.
Stuff peppers with mixture and put in a baking dish with a little water in bottom and cover with foil. Cook at 350 for about 45 minutes depending on how large the peppers are. Take foil off after 35 minutes to let brown a little.
Minestrone Soup: Delicious Heatlhy comfort food
This comfort soup is the perfect fall healthy soup to have on hand... I love it and so do the kids!

- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 tbsp organic unrefined coconut oil (can use olive oil at low temps)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 ribs celery diced (1/2 cup)
- 1 large carrot, peeled and diced
- 1 medium zucchini (about 8 oz), diced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 6 cups low-sodium vegetable broth or low sodium chicken broth (48oz)
- 1 28 oz can no salt added diced tomatoes
- 1 15 oz can no salt added crushed tomatoes
- 1 15 oz can low sodium cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup brown rice elbow pasta
- 1/3 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley leaves
- In a large soup pot over medium-high heat cook and stir onion in hot oil 3 minutes or until translucent. Add garlic; cook for 30 seconds. Add celery and carrot. Cook and stir 5 minutes, until vegetables begin to soften. Add zucchini, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add the broth and the diced and crushed tomatoes. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat to medium low. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add the beans and pasta. Cook 10 to 15 minutes more until pasta and vegetables are tender. Top servings with cheese and parsely. Makes 6 servings.

When you Pray.....
Listening can be the hard part right?
I often find I take the first day to talk at God and then take several days to listen to his response. Usually each day getting a little more of me out and a little more of him in. (Only he can take the stubbornness out of me :) ☺️
One of the most life-changing things I remember from a message that it's okay to feel the emotion of anger, frustration, hurts--it's what you do with that that matters!
How do you process it ---what do you listen for, what are you willing to hear ? what you want? What God wants? Take time to process your emotions and listen for God's response, he will take out all the junk and bring a list of reality; it's invaluable!

Don't let Insecurity Kill your Dreams!
INSECURITY...we all feel it from time to time. Don't let it kill your confidence in being who God made you to be! Readjust your thinking to what matters. Surround yourself with people who truly want the best for you.... yes that means them even being honest with you when helping you through something.
But guard your heart from just anyone......I can be such an open book-- I have to remember some people can't wait to use anything you give them to hurt you and make you give up on your dreams. Some not even intentionally, a few yes.
I think inside I always like to think people are truly kind, but sometimes this isn't the case. Keep your inner heart for those who really care, SHINE to those who don't. Love them ANYWAY but you don't have to let them abuse you and make you feel small.
Be secure that you are loved today.... and Make it a Great Day!

No Excuses! Don't let discouragement get you down....
Ahaaa love this---Made me laugh
Since my cortisone shots (feelin puffy). And rot cuff
issues I have TOTALLY let the excuses creep in!
I don't know what is up
with me but when I can't do everything I have a hard time doing
ANYTHING...Crazy Right??!!
For example just legs and cardio and not upper
body will STILL make progress but it's more of a mental block. I'm too much
of a perfectionist and I like to know I'm doing everything that works.
Which is frankly STUPID! Lower fix and abs today felt amazing and I can't
wait until tomorrow to get an extra mile in my walk prep for "Spicy" (a
relay I am doing with my friend in 30 days along the Oregon coast) and heal
with Pilates.
Do you need a wake up? ✅
I know I know... but I totally did
too, we're human !! Just start.. do something today, a walk... anything and

Quick Quinoa Lunch/ 21 Day fix Super Fast Lunch! PiYo Approved!
Great lunch today all from Trader Joes and super nice to have some cut up veggies on hand that go great in salads like Jicama---I love it but who wants to cut it up??? Obviously I can't afford to eat all my veggies this way but as a toss in for flavor this is terrific, a perfect one week supply!

Recently I have been keeping Pico De Gallo on hand to throw in eggs with spinach and garlic or whatever else might need a quick jolt of flavor! Wraps, Brown Rice Bowls, etc. I also use it to make my famous Guac--- yes, my secret ingredient ;) Another great find in the convenience area!

Recipe:
1 yellow organic quinoa
1 Green Veggies
Half Blue Mediterranean Feta
1 teas coconut oil
Trader Joe's Everyday Seasoning
Trader Joe's Italian Seasoning
Could add other things as well!
Next time I will try a little fresh garlic and Scallions or Green Onions.
Would be great with 1 Red grilled Chicken and another half blue almond slices! That would be a filling Dinner!
I will also experiment with other seasonings but was great as is!

Have your quinoa ready, either made or warm in pan if you made a big batch and have it in the refrigerator
(what I do for weekly easy convenience to stay on track when I'm busy)
Put the teas of coconut oil in pan and heat on medium.. toss around veggies for a few minutes with seasoning. Throw it all together!

Don't get discouraged because of a setback! Be encouraged!
Am I crazy I love frog crunches??
So today in my challenge group we've had a few people who have rocked their challenges going through a job loss, vacations Etc. So they maybe had an off week or two but each of them during this time has still made the effort and still done way more than they ever would have. For Our new challenge Monday a couple of them are partnering up to be held accountable now that this week or two season is over for them! Prayers have been answered and not only did our unemployed teacher get a job offer she got THREE!! God is so good!
As they were excited to start our new challenge and saying how they've been off but all the sudden they will see themselves and realized they've still changed! This reminded me to encourage them and say yes ---regardless of setbacks , the key is you've changed your never going back to that place---and life is going to happen you're going to have a bad week or two ---but now you will get back up !! The best thing when you're feeling like you haven't given 100% is realizing how far you've come !!! I have related to that this month with my shoulder problem, it was so freeing to know what the problem was and what I could do about it! Exercise has taken on a new meaning today-- as I still am at my lowest weight and haven't gained any through this few weeks ---I truly thankful for how far I've come, Discouragement did not get the best of me !! just call me the #modqueen !!!
