My name is Jen Zakaras and I
would love to encourage you as I’ve been encouraged!
In my mid twenties I did Body For Life and went from
overweight and miserable to a bodybuilder chic…. Felt amazing! After two
kids I had a hard time losing my weight, despite my love to work out and eat
healthy. A few years ago I was introduced to processed free/clean eating
by an organic chemist and it changed my healthy dramatically!
Although the doctors results concluded my eating was paying
off I still struggled with my weight. It seemed so hard for me, even when I
seemed to do what others didn’t I was still fat. After a year or two of
adversity, a few injuries, surgeries I was feeling miserable and looking for a
program that would work, doubting I would find it. I had tried a personal
trainer I couldn’t afford and did not have success, although I did what she
said. I began to really think I could never achieve my dreams to feel like
myself and feel healthy and fit again. I so wanted to be feel good for my
husband and kids and also feel like myself. When you are overweight
people see you a certain way and that’s not who I am. I didn’t want that
to define me!
That’s when I stumbled on my Beachbody coaches blog. I
found myself responding yes to her invitation to join a challenge group.
I was desperate and figured what the heck? I wasn’t really into
shakes, most of them are chemicals and junk, but I looked at Shakeology and
could only find good things. I figured I could try it for a month and
cancel if I didn’t like it. I was ready to try anything. Also
through all my years of struggle the one thing I felt was missing from the gym,
diet programs etc. is accountability and comraderie. It’s always promised
but rarely achieved.
My challenge group was a dream come true! My Shakeology
gave me a natural energy, reduced cravings and I could feel the superfoods work
in my body. After a few days I knew it was real. The biggest way I
could tell is a day I didn’t drink it. I immediately began eating clean, helping
others motivated me to hold my own self accountable, on bad days or good days
there were challengers that were having the same day and some having opposite
days to always be lifted up and understood. My Beachbody Coach was always
there for me to encourage me, hold me accountable and answer my questions.
I reluctantly took my before pictures for the first time in
years. A few weeks in I was seeing so many people succeed with their
workouts I pulled out the Chalene Extreme that had been collecting dust in my
bedroom and started watching it. She was talking about how closer to 40
she was doing all the right things and the weight wouldn’t come off.
WOW! This was me! I ended up beginning Chalene extreme and in 3
weeks took my after pictures. I was frozen, then tears, then laughed, then
back to shock at the amazing changes in such a short time! These are the
pictures I’ve shared on the home page of my blog.
I am a work in progress but I so want to help others achieve
their dreams and the success a challenge group provides. Whether it’s
trying to lose a lot of weight, a few pounds, or just changing your health and
gaining energy, I want this for you!
One other thing, I come from a family of raging
diabetics. My Grandpa died of it, my dad and brother have it, and every
medical test says I should. I don’t. I am not a diabetic.
Although my weight is heading downward for the first time in years, my last few
years of eating clean and exercising have staved off a dangerous difficult
disease! I know if I change course I could easily be a diabetic. In our challenge groups I love all the
exciting successes, but it is truly amazing when I see someone in the period of
30 or 60 days come off medications because their health has improved. Wives
so happy their husbands are making comments. Kids loving their moms
having more energy than they do! The heart of the matter is truly my
passion!

your health for your looks! It’s unnecessary! The vibrant glow of a
healthy skin and body is empowering! In our challenge groups we don’t
just work on healthy and nutrition, we work on your heart---the most effective
part!
